General Info
The Irish Franchising Skillnet (IFS) was launched in 2008, and is a training network specifically for those involved in the Irish franchise sector. The organisation supports the upskilling and further education of existing franchise employees, as well as offering training to jobseekers who wish to enter the industry. These subsidised and open courses increase the competitive nature of Irish businesses and help to develop a more qualified workforce.
The IFS is funded by its member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets Ltd., and also receives funding from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills. It facilitates training under themes such as: In House training, Open Programmes and Certified Accredited Programmes, and also builds relationships with specialist trainers who have been openly procured to provide training to the franchise sector.
